Well done Pack 007! You've outdone yourselves again tonight. Loved the crafts, the color guard & skit (good job Den 9), & the singing (Yeah, Song Leader Ken). The Tig-O-Matic was wonderful Den 1!!! What a transformation!! Loved seeing the new Pinewood track (thanks for bringing it, Kim). So many boys are working hard & moving up the ranks, as was evidenced by the advancements (thanks again Advancement Chair Susan).
But the most amazing part of the meeting was the generosity shown by our boys & their families. As you know, for several years Pack 007 has donated during the holidays to Heifer International, a charity that buys farm animal for needy families in third world countries.
Tonight we collected a record $816.50!!! And with all that money, the boys voted to buy 1 cow, 2 pigs, 3 beehives and some ducks.
Special props to Mathew Passage of Den 1, who donated $200 he collected by asking friends to give money to Heifer, instead of bringing him presents for his birthday! And special props to Jackson Schriever of Den 8 who collected $166.50 for Heifer.
Way to go boys! Way to go Pack 007! Enjoy your winter break and have a wonderful holiday with family & friends. Best, Linda
